Flaming Gnomes
Kerrin [threshold] Come one, come all, to the Green Griffin tavern! See the
most amazing, spectacular, daring, death defying, and incredibly STUPID
show in the entire realm! Lords, ladies, and peasants alike across the

{{{{{ GREEN GRIFFON TAVERN }}}}}
The Green Griffon Tavern is a popular hot spot among the affluent citizens
of Sable City. The prices are comparable to other pubs, but the entertainment
really brings in the crowds! Here adventurers hob nob, play games of skill and
chance, spend lots of money, and generally have a rip-roaring good time.
Emirikol has a wide array of food and drink here and his serving wench
Bridgit will be pleased (maybe) to fetch them. It might be a good idea to
take a look at the large menu posted proudly on the nearby wall (type menu).
Rja and Yara are seated at Table Two. Somatra and Kard are seated at
Table Five.
Obvious exits are table1, table2, table3, table4, table5, table6, table7,
games, and east.

Dirona sits next to Pyrosama.
-> Kerrin chats with Emirikol.
You say to Emirikol, "So, Em, I am going to be performing that special act
we discussed the other day."
You say to Emirikol, "Is that end of the room okay, the area under the
super-high ceiling?"
Aerebella pounces on Caer playfully.
Kalo sits down.
You point to the far end of the tavern
Aerebella pounces on Medaena playfully.
Aerebella licks Medaena all over and she shivers happily.
Medaena giggles
Aerebella purrs happily.
Caer grins at Aerebella
Yanda looks at you.
You nod in confirmation at Emirikol
Aerebella says, "where's this show?"
You say to Emirikol, "Right, I shall be careful. Thanks again, Em!"
You say, "Right here!"
Aerebella looks at you.

You twirl around
-> Kerrin heads over to the far end of the room and begins moving a few tables
and chairs out of the way.
Aerebella says, "yer the star performer fer the evenin?"
You say, "I shall try to be."
You grin mischievously
Aerebella beams brightly.
-> Kerrin drags a large roll of some stiff, dark material out of the corner and
begins to unroll it on the floor.
Medaena strokes Tabby cat gently.
Aerebella claps briefly
-> Tabby cat meows at Medaena
-> Kerrin next gets a wooden chest from the corner and places it nearby.
Medaena smiles
Drydan sits down.
-> Aerebella sits on a barstool
-> Kerrin pulls out two buckets and hands them to Bridgit, "Could you please be
a dear and fill these up with water, Bridgit? I would appreciate it very
much."
Tilarin sits on a barstool and spins around slowly.
-> Kerrin waits patiently...
-> Kerrin takes the now full buckets back from Bridgit, "Thank you!"
Medaena looks at you.
Aerebella listens to you intently.
You smile at Bridgit happily.
-> Rja spins Tilarin a little faster
Rja whistles innocently
Tilarin grins at Rja
-> Kerrin stands upon the dark colored material on the floor and turns to
address the crowd.
Tilarin listens to you intently.
-> Kerrin speaks in a loud voice, "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! For your
entertainment pleasure we bring to you an act renouned throughout the
lands!"
Wyden looks at you.
Yanda looks at you.
You say, "Spectacular and famous for its daring, this act has been performed
before royalty and commoner alike!"
Aerebella looks at you.
Maverick drinks shot of whiskey.
Lockslos hugs Caelia
Thalia whispers something to Yanda.
You say, "Nowhere else in the entirety of the realm can such an amazing
display be found!"

You say, "This act requires the dedicated and practiced teamwork of not just
ONE!... Not just TWO!... Nay, not even a mere THREE individuals!...
But, a total of FOUR well trained and experienced daredevils!"

Karahd looks at you.
You say, "Just WHO might these showmen be?"
Drydan applauds
You say, "Well, let me introduce to you the other three members of our
troupe..."
Rja says to Shakarr, "Gonna watch?"
You say, "All the way from across the far reaches of the land..."
-> Kerrin sounds like a circus ringmaster...
You say, "Just returned from a special extended tour of the isles throughout
the sea..."
Lockslos says to Caelia, "I am lockslos a dear friend and I will tell you
more after the show"
Shakarr says, "gonna watch what?"
You say, "I present unto you, gathered ladies and gentlemen, those
entertainers whose futures are most brightly lit..."
-> Kerrin exclaims, "The FLAMING IDIOTS!"

-> Kerrin motions to the Gnomes, and they come over to stand by his side.

-> Karahd looks at one of the gnomes

-> Kerrin stands with the Gnomes...
You say, "Ladies and gentlemen, we shall perform for you, live here in this
very tavern -- the very social centre of this great city -- a feat so
daring, so death defying, so STUPID, that you shall not believe your
own eyes!"
Caelia laughs
-> Tilarin squints at the Gnome

Karahd claps
You say, "Please, we do not wish to alarm anyone, but we have to warn you
all -- by law and by contractual obligation -- that this show is so
dangerous, and STUPID, that some of you may come away from the
experience changed for life."
Aerebella raises her eyebrow.
You say, "But, fear not! All possible safety precautions have been taken to
protect the participants, yourselves, and the tavern."
-> Caelia backs up closer to the bar..
Karahd giggles
You say, "We shall now prepare for the most amazing performance to grace any
stage, tavern, or street corner anywhere in the realm!"
-> Caelia hides behind Thalia wisely
Karahd giggles at Caelia
-> Tilarin hides in Yanda's fur
-> Kerrin moves the two buckets of water a little off to one side as the
bustling Gnomes start pulling a variety of things from the wooden chest.
-> Karahd pulls Dahrk's tail over her head
-> Kerrin hurries over to help the Gnomes, who are busy putting on dark
colored, full-body suits.
-> Kerrin removes six glass tubes from the wooden chest. Three contain an icy
blue liquid, and the other three contain a slighly opaque liquid.
-> Kerrin unstoppers the tubes and gives one of each color to each Gnome. They
slowly and carefully drink down the slightly glowing contents of the tubes.
-> Kerrin hastily restoppers the tubes and places them back into the chest.
-> Karahd watches the gnomes
-> Kerrin helps the Gnomes take their places on the dark-colored material laid
out upon the floor, and closes the final flap of their suits over their
faces, thus fully covering their bodies.
Karahd raises her eyebrow.
-> Kerrin turns to the wooden chest and takes out a large container of a
liquidy black pitch.
You say, "And now for the dangerous part!"
Caelia dives for cover
Lockslos chants a few syllables and conjures Shield of Stars!
-> Kerrin turns toward the three Gnomes, pauses, and then turns back to face
one fellow sitting right at the front of the crowd, "Sir, you may wish to
move back just a little bit. It is HIGHLY dangerous to sit so close."
Lockslos equips Shield of Stars.
-> Shakarr hides behind Rja
-> Kerrin watches the man scoot back several good feet.
You smile
You say, "Very good. Thank you, sir."
-> Kerrin turns back to the three Gnomes and applies the black liquid to each
of them with a large brush, completely covering their bodies.
Karahd . o O ( uh oh )
-> Kerrin closes the container of black liquid. Wraps the brush in wet rags.
Places them both back into the wooden chest.
Dirona eeps!
Kaz giggles
-> Kerrin looks up and smiles at the audience, "Are you almost ready for a
SHOW?"
-> Aerebella looks worried
Drydan lets out a resounding cheer.
-> Karahd cowers behind Dahkr's tail
You say, "Are you ready for something DARING and WILD?"
Malacasta nods at you
Drydan lets out a resounding cheer.
Dahrk ponders the safety of his tail.
You say, "Are you ready for something COMPLETELY STUPID?"
-> Tilarin peeks around Yanda's shoulder
Dirona says, "YES!!!!"
Wyden grins, "Heh heh heh!"
Dirona explodes with joy, "WOO! WOO!"
Thalia says, "I'm ready!!!"
-> Medaena clutches onto Aerebella's arm.
Karahd exclaims, "HEEEEEE!"
You smile charmingly
Drydan explodes with joy, "WOO! WOO!"
Aerebella yells: YES!
Drac says, "Sure... why not"
Caelia yells: gimme a hellya!!
You say, "And now for the final preparations!"
-> Kerrin takes a glass tube from the chest and drinks down the bright green
liquid.
-> Karahd holds Dahrk's tail in front of her eyes, occasionally peeking over at
the gnomes
Vonkar blinks
Seridia blinks
-> Kerrin pulls on a pair of very long gloves made of a dark colored material.
They cover his arms right up to the shoulders.
Vonkar says, "Woah, lotta people"
-> Kerrin slips a large, golden ring on to his left hand. The huge stone
gleams a firey red in the tavern's light.
Vonkar scratches his head
Aerebella gasps in astonishment!
You say, "Alright now, we are all set!"
Drydan wows at it all!
Kaz smiles
Wyden hmms
-> Kerrin goes through a short checklist, "The tarp is down... The water
buckets are in place, just in case..."
You say, "My fellow performers and myself are properly equipped..."
Vonkar strokes his beard in deep thought.
Karahd eeps!
You say, "The audience is far enough from the stage..."
Vonkar shrugs
Valec looks at you.
Aerebella says to Valec, "watch"
-> Kerrin grins, "Emirikol is having second thoughts about letting us perform
here...
-> Dirona scoots close to see the ring
Karahd giggles
-> Kerrin fairly yells, "LET'S GET DANGEROUS!"
Karahd pats Emirikol on the back
Drydan chuckles
Drydan wows at it all!
Caelia comforts Emirikol.
Drac looks at you.

Rja dives for cover
Falcore ponders if we should be trying this at home.
-> Kerrin takes up a position standing behind the first Gnome.
Valec listens intently in the general vicinity.
Danforth consumes basilisk sirloin.

-> Kerrin grasps the Gnome's head in his hands, and the fellow's suit bursts
into flames!
Karahd looks at octagonal shield

-> Kerrin flips the now flaming Gnome high up into the air... WHEEEE!
Dahrk acks!
Drydan gasps in astonishment!
-> Karahd eeks!

Pyrosama eeps!
-> Dirona covers Falcore with a dark cloth too
-> Kerrin grabs the second Gnome and flips HIM high up into the air as HIS suit
bursts into firey light!
Seridia holds Yanda close

Shakarr wows at it all!
Aerebella gasps in astonishment!
-> Kerrin quickly touches the third Gnome, setting him aflame, and tosses HIM
up into the air after the first two... WHEEEE!
Dirona eeps!
Karahd says, "ACK!"
Dirona dives for cover
-> Kerrin catches the first flaming Gnome as the little fellow falls toward the
floor, and throws him back up into the air... FLIP!
Aerebella applauds
Karahd says, "I thought Flaming Gnome was a drink!"
Wyden wows at it all!
-> Kerrin continues juggling the three flaming Gnomes in various patterns for
several minutes, their suits blazing light throughout the tavern!
Aerebella rolls on the floor laughing
Caelia says, "oooOOO.."
Caer cheers enthusiastically for you
Yanda wows at it all!
Wyden . o O ( poor gnomies )
-> Seridia is mezmerized
-> Kerrin catches the first flaming fellow and sets him quickly on his feet.
Karahd says, "It's like giant fireflies"
Caelia laffs out loud!
Falcore says, "I thought a flaming gome was Hamdob on his flying machine"
-> Kerrin catches the SECOND firey Gnome and hurriedly returns him to his feet.
-> Kerrin reaches for the third and final Gnome, but misjudges the distance...

-> Dirona pulls her cloak over her head
Wyden jumps up and down screaming, "DOH!"

Karahd says, "ACK!"
-> Kerrin tries for the grab, but the little fellow crashes into his right wing
and then hits the floor with an audible OOF!
Drydan gasps in astonishment!
Aerebella says to Wyden, "i think they're professionals.."
Dirona trembles in anticipation
-> Tilarin huddles in Yanda's fur
-> Dahrk grabs his tail from Karahd!
Drydan exclaims in mock pain.
-> Kerrin's right wing BURSTS INTO FLAMES!
Aerebella eeps!

-> Seridia clings to Yanda

Yanda grasps the hilt of Severance firmly and you hear a furious roar of
thunder in the distance. A few of the tassels on the handle seem to
wrap themselves around Yanda's wrist.
Yanda wields Severance.
You emit a screeching squawk of excruciating pain
Yanda points Severance into the air above you and begins twirling the
mighty axe in circles above her head. Electricity crackles along its
length, and with a release of energy a storm cloud forms above your head!
-> Karahd grabs Dahrk's tail back, and begins nibbling nervously
Dirona shivers
Yanda stops wielding Severance.
The tassels from Yanda's blade snake off of her wrist and Yanda removes
Severance from her grasp. You see an odd flash of light like lightning
in the distance out of the corner of your eye.
Falcore grins, "Heh heh heh!"
Vonkar says, "Woah"
Vonkar blinks
Tilarin grins mischievously
-> Kerrin continues to yell. The Gnomes hear the commotion and leap into
action, running around yelling, "YIYIYIYIYIYIYIYI!". Unfortunately, they
cannot see a bloody thing and crash into each other, going down in a big
heap!
-> Seridia hides in Yanda's fur
Drac cheers enthusiastically for Yanda
Yanda says, "the bucket didn't work, maybe a shower will?"
The stormcloud roils menacingly and pelts a torrent of rain upon your head.

but by some miracle of the Aether manages not to light up the rest of
himself.

-> Kerrin's wing feathers smoke and smolder. They are burnt and blackened.
Drac says to Yanda, "Glad for someone else to get it but me... seems its
always me."

their full-body suits.
